| Pharmacology |
|
| Raubasine prolongs the refraction phase of the heart through a blockade of Na+ channels. In addition, the action potential is prolonged and an increase of the depolarization threshold occurs. It has negative inotropic properties accomplished by a small decrease of the heart rate. Raubasine increase the amount of oxygen brought to the brain and neurosensory tissue, by increasing the oxygen content of arterial blood. |
